In the Humble Opinion of LittleBill, Socialist, Atheist, and Humanist
Reactions to Back to Back Interviews

According to reports I saw on CNN yesterday, many people were impressed with Sen. McCain’s rapid, fairly short answers to questions asked of him, saying that he seemed to be right on top of the topics discussed, especially as to right-to-life values. At the same time, they felt that Obama was unsure of himself and rather fumbling for his answers.

I urge anyone who found McCain well grounded and Obama unprepared to find the interviews on the computer and look at them again. My reactions were the exact opposite. McCain had obviously been prepared by his handlers to give his answers in a machine gun manner, hurling them off the tip of his tongue and enumerating each with
unalterable, non-inclusive certainty.

Sen. Obama, on the other hand, spoke to his questioner in measured tones, considering the topic from all angles, without haste to impress his audience with curt replies, but as a compliment to the public by including our many views in his answers.

With regard to war and the threat of war, McCain, like Bush before him, is a little ahead of himself with his proclamation of victory in the present war, as well as American and world support for future wars. Also re the war in Iraq, no matter how many more people are killed on both sides, down to the death of the last Iraqi, and the total destruction of their land by our superior forces, according to my personal beliefs as an atheist, the United States can never achieve a victory which was plotted and carried out by this country under the leadership of George Bush and Dick Cheney against an innocent country without just cause.

I had never heard of this guy, Rick Whatshisname before. Who is he that he presumes to be a king maker? I'm wondering why Barack accepted his invitation. It seemed to give the event more status than it deserved, to McCain's benefit.

Don"t know what happened but my first comment didn't publish. Patriot suggested I read your blog and I am glad I did. I really enjoyed it.

I watched the performance of McCain at the Saddleback church and thought he must have had a good idea what the questions were. It was a travesty.

Vig, my daughter said she heard on one of the media that McCain was still in the car on the way to the event while Obama was being interviewed, and he could have been listening to the radio.

Minn, welcome to my blog. I hope you will continue to enjoy it. I will try to look you up also.

What do you think of Obama's choice? Biden sounds good to me, especially as a follow-up to the Bush regime.

Hi little Bill
McCain is shot and only a Republican can ignore reality and say McCain is better than Obama in any respect.
I think we have a great team now! Joe has a tendency to foam at the mouth but I believe that can be controlled!
The right is already using Biden's words saying Obama is not ready to be President against him and Obama but if the Democrat's had half a brain amongst them they would already have turned the tables on the Republicans as they would do to Democrats!
Obama should be saying you Republicans are slow! Biden now knows I have what it takes and has gotten behind me. You better too if you want a future! What Obama has done has taken out life Insurance and I now believe the election that is a runaway being termed too close to call so it can be stolen a third time will be!
The alternatives are much worse! There is no way in hell I can see the Right quitting their agenda or allowing the Presidents abusive power in Democrats hands. no way! what is going to happen next?
