Letter to Christine Romans, hostess, CNN Your Money
I turned to your program this morning, hoping for some enlightenment about our financial problems. But what I found was a group of economists sitting around flipping the many pages of a congressional bill on the subject and laughing hysterically. By the way, I have seen many congressional bills that thick in the past, so it was not unusual.
Perhaps I am missing something, but I did not think this was a laughing matter, and I cannot think of a shred of information I got from the program.
Since I am fairly financially comfortable, I hope that I will get through this tough time without too much trouble. For that reason, your program was a complete waste of my time. On the other hand, if I had been a person with serious problems on my mind, I would have been deeply offended and more worried than ever.

Hi little bell
Things are going to get a lot tougher but you are all right. There are a lot hurting though and it will get much worse for them because of Bush's success.
I can not stand those money shows. Beehives like Kramer cheered this mess along whooping it up while they should have been warning people. An idiot could see what was coming i did. Hmm!
The media never does any good; I wouldn't even trust their weather forecast! their only intention is to spread rumors and panic or anything else that gets ratings up or sells more papers.
Hi little Bill
That is right Sarah! That is why many did not heed their advice before Katrina and paid for it with their life!
Since you mentioned it: yes, I suppose you are right!
On the other hand if those people had looked at the sky and would have build houses in a normal decent ammner... they would also still be alive!
The way that houses are built in the States... well it's not that we've never had a storm over here, afterall Denmark does only consist of islands... or on the Faroe islands... It does get pretty stormy in the north atlantic...
But the difference is, we build houses that are intended for those conditions and naturally they don't collaps that easily!
Or the sky... I'm sure your fly-boy-son can tell you exactly how the weather is gonna be the next hours just by looking at the skiy and by feeling the wind devellopping. That's something everybody can do, if they care enough to get a feeling for it!
I once was about to board a ferry, crossing the chanel between GB and France. The weather forcast was fine, but I knew we were going into hell. My husband didn't believe me, but I told him the segull's behavior was a sure sign and the way the windgusts came in and just how the sky looked over the channel... as soon as we got on board the captain ordered everybody to stay seated. that's not something they normally do!!!
Anyway, the trip was fine even though the conditions were desastrous. But the captain was wonderful. He did not for one second fight the elements, but went in stead with the waves. We thanked the crew for the great trip afterwards and they looked at us as if we were totally insane. But then my husband said that we were thanking them for just how well they handled it and they accepted gracefully.
But you're right James; when people cry "wolf!" too many times, sooner or later nobody's gonna believ them anymore!
And Little Billy:
It's just disgraceful that a show which promises to offer help and inspiration just broadcasts PR, justifications and other BS!
sorry I meant: "...built houses in a normal, decent manner..."
I do have far too many typos in my comments and posts, but I type very fast...
Hi little Bill just checking in on you!
Hi Sarah Now Katrina too is Obama's mess so we will see what he does with this too.
hello little Billy!
How are you doing today?
I have had a very eventful week, just hope the results will live up to all the hard work I have put into!
James, what do you mean by "Obama's mess"? You mean there's still lots not tidied up after all these years? I heard brother Tim talking about people who still haven't gotten their insurance money yet... disgraceful!
Hi Sarah
I mean like everything else Bush screwed up and left for Obama to try and straighten out a large part of NOLO is still a disaster area. Plus most forget New Orleans is just a small part of what was hit. Mississippi was really nailed. Anyway it is just one more mess Bush left for Obama to deal with now it is his!
Yes, I believe you're right, James!
Dear little Billy, I hope you will have a really nice weekend.
We had wanted to go to Germany, have to do some business things there, but had to push it off, since it's so stormy, and I really don't fancy a ferry that's got a heavy train on board to lean close to 45 degrees...
but we're got lots of work to do anyway...
wishing you both a really nice weekend!
sarah Sofia
Hi little bill
I hope you had a nice week end, you too Sarah. The weather here is beautiful!
Glad to hear, that the weather is nice James! Seems you've been waiting for this for a long time, haven't you?.
Hope, you've had a nice weekend, too, little Billy!
I'm renovating without end - so it seems at least!
Was on your blog, James, but just time to read, no time to comment... I've just gotta make use of the good weather while it lasts!
love to both of you, Sarah Sofia
Sarah you are a sweetheart! Funny but we had summer last week and tomorrow fall comes but fall is my favorite season. Just enjoy the weather.
Just looking for content little bill, hope all is well!
