Failure Was At The Beginning

The latest pretext for continuing the war in Iraq is that failure would be disastrous for us and the Middle East.

Our failure in Iraq took place at the very beginning around the planning table in the White House when Bush and his men decided to invade. Bush's stature, in his own mind, had taken on the heroic trappings of history's greatest military leaders, and his belief that, like Jesus, he had been chosen by God.

The result of that terrible error is that Bush has made his entire nation hated around the world, by a majority of the people he is purportedly trying to save in Iraq, and now his administration by most of his own countrymen. This hatred will assuredly continue to grow in each and every case.

His only hope to ameliorate the tragic consequences of his failure is for him to take personal blame for what has happened and totally withdraw our forces from the Middle East NOW.

I agree.
Most anyone with a brain knew this would end in disaster, right at the beginning, before it even started.

I think the paper pushers who started this thing want to expand it however , and are making plans to do that.
Bu$h ... the crooked religious/crackpot dissembler that keeps on giving.
Will the American people revolt.?
The Dems were and are complicit.
A CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT NEEDED ?

I have to disagree with Skip. One didn't need to have a brain to see, from the right get go, that this ill adviced attempt to redo the Middle East was doomed to be a big mistake. I am a living proof for it.

This has been to me the biggest suprise of all; the people in charge of the American foreign policies are so ill equiped to do the job. The second biggest one is, that basically the same men are still in charge. I don't know about you, but I have never had a fortune to be in job that I can mismanage for years and years and still have it. Might it be, that one must be a big enough player to enjoy of an immunity?
